Every collection has a moment where it shifts, where something familiar evolves into something new. Flora Onyx is that moment for me within the Graffiti Flora series.
This body of work has always been rooted in contrast. At its core, Graffiti Flora is about the relationship between nature and man-made expression, classical floral still life imagery layered with the raw, instinctive language of graffiti. It’s a balance between control and chaos, tradition and disruption. With each piece, I’ve been exploring how those two worlds can not only coexist, but elevate each other.
Flora Onyx pushes that idea further.

This is the first black-on-black composition in the collection, and that shift in tone changes everything. The darker palette creates a more subtle, almost moody atmosphere, where details reveal themselves slowly. The florals feel more sculptural, more intimate. The graffiti becomes sharper, more intentional—less about loud contrast and more about movement, texture, and depth.
It required a different approach in the studio. The photographic foundation had to be more precise. The lighting, the composition, the shadows—everything needed to work harder to carry the piece. From there, the hand-embellishment process became about restraint as much as expression. Every mark matters more when it lives inside a tighter visual range.
That tension is what makes the piece.

Beyond the work itself, this release also marks a shift in how I want to share my art.
With this drop, I’m introducing a more direct, limited release model through my website, offering both the original painting and a small edition of hand-embellished prints directly to collectors and supporters. Instead of everything living solely through galleries or exhibitions, this creates a way to connect more closely with the people who have been following and supporting the work over time.
It’s about access.

Giving my audience the opportunity to collect not just prints, but hand embellished, each one unique, each one carrying its own energy. It allows me to keep the work personal while still making it available in a limited format.
Flora Onyx represents both an artistic evolution and a shift in approach. It’s a deeper exploration of the themes that define Graffiti Flora, and at the same time, a new way of building a relationship between the work and the people who collect it.
This is just the beginning of where this direction collection will go!
